
Leona Louise (born on April 3, 1986) is an American singer actor, songwriter, and actress. Born and raised within the London Borough Of Islington she went to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis was a star on the national stage when she won The X Factor's third series in 2006. Also, she was awarded the PS1 Million recording contract from Syco Music. The winning single, which was which was a cover to Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment like This" reached number one for four weeks on UK Singles Chart and broke a world record by reaching 50,000 digital downloads within 30 minutes. Clive Davis' label, J Records, signed Lewis to a five-album agreement in February 2007. Lewis's success continued as she dropped her debut album Spirit (2007). It has been certified as platinum by the UK and became the fourth most-sold album in the 2000s. Spirit According to Official Charts Company is the greatest-selling debut album of a female artist. The first single, "Bleeding Love", was a seven-week standout at number first in UK and was the best-selling single in 2007. The track was also among the top-selling in 2008, and Lewis won her Billboard Award for the Best New Artist. Echo was her sophomore studio album. The album also featured the song "I Have You in My Eyes" in the movie Avatar. Lewis also released "Collide" in the year 2011 a joint effort together with Swedish DJ Avicii. In addition, she dropped Hurt which was her EP. her debut extended play. The release of her third studio album, Glassheart (2012), was a departure in direction for Lewis taking in dubstep as well as electronic music. Lewis began recording music for her first Christmas album while on her Glassheart Tour, which took during the middle of 2013. Christmas, with Love came out later in the year, and the album's lead track, "One More Sleep" came in at the third position in the UK. This chart entry resulted in Lewis to be the first British independent female musician to make it to the top 5 spots, having eight singles. The singer also broke the record set by Olivia Newton-John with seven songs.
